TV Review : Supergirl : Season 3 : Episode 6 : Midvale

Up Up and Away Super Friends and DC Comics Fans !!! , Here is my review of Supergirl Season 3 Episode 6 Midvale. 1st a description of this episode : Kara and Alex head home to Midvale for a little rest; Kara recalls a painful childhood memory that brought the Danvers sisters closer together. Now on to my full review of this episode Warning Full Spoilers To Follow , Wow super wow I cry’ed a lot Great episode of Supergirl!!! Midvale was so good and very emotional as well. In this episode we see Kara and Alex go back home to their hometown of Midvale for some down time. And at 1st things don’t go well Kara trying to cut out her Kara Danvers part of her identity and Alex still dealing with the break up with Maggie and so on. Eliza Danvers though Kara and Alex’s Mom with some words of wisdom trying to remind Kara don’t cut out the people who are important to you they are apart of you and the reason your Supergirl the hero the world needs you to be. Also some good advice Alex got form Eliza. Always good to see Helen Slater on the show. Also Erica Durance good to see her in this episode but not as Alura Zor-El but as a Agent cop.  The Flashback of Young Kara and Young Alex amazing. In one of the flashback Erica Durance’s character telling Kara you got that 2nd chance in you new home coming from Krypton The 1st of many nods and callbacks  to Smallville. I did not expected that and was so cool to hear and see. The scene where Alex and Kara are trying to find the information they call Chloe Sullivan yes the same Chloe who was in Smallville and we also saw referenced The Wall of Weird from Smallville High School. Just hearing Chloe’s name being mention was cool to see and hear and opens the door a bit for Chloe to show up again in present day in The Arrowverse maybe. Might not happen but you never know. By the end of the Episode Present Day Kara and Alex come to a better place and move forward. This episode was so heartwarming and so touching and any time we have an episode focused on The Danvers Sisters it’s always going to be good and have lots of feels. Melissa Benoist and Chyler Leigh as well as the rest of the cast amazing!!! Overall I give Supergirl Season 3 Episode 6 Midvale a 9.5/10. A really great and emotional episode and one of the best episodes of Supergirl ever maybe the best of the entire series. Can’t wait for next weeks episode titled Wake Up. Until next week Super Friends Up Up and Away!!!
