Comics Review : The Daring New Adventures of Supergirl (1982-1984) Volume Two Trade Paperback : DC Comics (2017)

Up Up and Away Super Friends and DC Comics Fans , Here is my review of The Daring New Adventures of Supergirl (1982-1984) Volume Two Trade Paperback from DC Comics. 1st a description of Volume 2 of these 1980’s Supergirl stories : There’s more to college student Linda Danvers than meets the eye. Rocketed from the planet Krypton and crash-landing on Earth years after her legendary cousin, Superman, Linda is secretly Kara Zor-El—soaring the skies and battling evil as the unstoppable Supergirl! In this action-packed collection of the classic stories that helped inspire the hit TV show, Supergirl continues her quest to carve out a heroic legacy all her own…and live life in the big city on her own terms. Along the way, she’ll battle the insidious Blackstar, match wits against with the bizarre Ambush Bug and confront the Man of Steel’s own enemies, Parasite and the Kryptonite Man! Now on to my review of this 2nd Volume of The Daring New Adventures of Supergirl , The Daring New Adventures of Supergirl Volume 2 is written once again by Paul Kupperberg with artwork by Carmine Infantino. This series starts with Daring New Adventures of Supergirl #13 and the series was renamed Supergirl from issues #14-23. These Supergirl stories are classic supergirl with such good story telling with amazing artwork and set the stage for what was to come in the 90’s with The Matrix / Linda Danvers Supergirl run and the return of Post Crisis Supergirl / Kara Zor-El in 2005. Now the story picks up where issue #12 left off we see Supergirl / Linda Lee Danvers on her own and in these stories she battles villains like Blackstar and sees The Doom Patrol and has a big Birthday celebration and joins up with The Teen Titans. These where the final stories of Pre Crisis Supergirl before Crisis on Infinite where Kara sacrificed her life to save the DC Universe. These stories not only where a great but also showed you why Supergirl is a great character and such an important character in the DC Universe. Overall I give The Daring New Adventures of Supergirl (1982-1984) Volume Two Trade Paperback a 9/10 for the story and 9/10 for the artwork as well. If your a fan of Supergirl and Supergirl from The Pre Crisis DC Universe pick up both Volumes 1 & 2 of The Daring New Adventures of Supergirl it’s a super great read.
