TV Review : Supergirl Season 2 : Episode 22 : Nevertheless, She Persisted : The Supergirl Season 2 Finale

Up Up and away Super Friends , Here is my review of The Supergirl Season 2 Finale Episode 22 Nevertheless, She Persisted. 1st a description of the season finale : Supergirl challenges Rhea to battle to save National City. Meanwhile, Superman returns and Cat Grant offers Supergirl some sage advice. Now on to my full review of the episode Warning Full Spoilers To Follow , Wow what an amazing Season Finale of Supergirl this was !!! It start off with a bang with Superman fighting Supergirl. Superman is under mind control by Rhea using Sliver Kryptonite and Supes thinks he is fighting General Zod but is really fighting Supergirl. The fight goes into National City and Supergirl after all the fighting takes out Superman with once punch the fight is one of the best in the 2 Season run of Supergirl and was epic. Supergirl and Alex take Superman back to The Fortress of Solitude to reverse the Sliver Kryptonite to restore Superman back to normal and then next figure out a plan to beat Rhea. When we get back to The DEO both it and National City have been decimated by The Daxium warship and Rhea’s forces. Next Supergirl figures out a plan to beat Rhea in single combat if she wins Rhea’s war stops if not then The Daxiums would rule Earth forever. The last battle scenes in the Season Finale was epic , action packed and emotional it had it all. Supergirl with the help of Superman , The DEO , Mon-EL and Lena Luthor is able to beat Rhea but in doing so Mon-EL was forced to leave. The scene where Supergirl and Mon-EL saying there goodbye’s was so emotional and heartbreaking while Mon-EL was not huge on him at the start of this season I was sad to see him go off to space in his pod. Cat Grant great to see her again and it was good to see her giving Kara advice again that’s what makes Cat such a great supporting character in Supergirl. Kara by the end of the episode while she still cares and likes being Supergirl you can tell by the end she felt empty and sad which we don’t see for her often but it shows she does care a lot as a hero. The ending of the episode and through out the episode teased a few villains for Season 3 Mongul , Regin and Doomsday. How will they all be coming to Supergirl and will they all show up in Season 3 well will have to find out this fall. Overall I give Supergirl Season 2 Finale Episode 22 Nevertheless, She Persisted a 9.5/10 a great season finale and great ending to Supergirl Season 2. Supergirl Season 2 while it did have it’s fair share of issues I enjoy this 1st season of Supergirl on The CW. Until next Super Friends Up Up and Away !!!
