Comics Review : Batman Volume One: I Am Gotham : DC Comics (2017)

Hello Citizens of Gotham City and DC Comics Fans , Here is my review of Batman Volume One: I Am Gotham Trade Paperback from DC Comics DC Rebirth. 1st a description of the story : The Caped Crusader has never been stopped. Not by the Joker. Not by Two-Face. Not even by the Justice League. But now, in the wake of DC UNIVERSE: REBIRTH, Batman faces his most challenging foe ever-the idealistic hero known as Gotham, who wants to save the city from Batman himself! Collects the pages of BATMAN: REBIRTH #1 and issues #1-6 of the new, hit BATMAN series! This collection features a new cover by superstar artist David Finch! Now on to my review of this 1st Trade Paperback of Batman from DC Rebirth , Batman Volume One: I Am Gotham is written by Tom King with artwork by David Finch. How this Batman story starts out is we get up to speed with what has been going on with Batman Bruce Wayne and Alfred plus Commissioner Gordon and The GCPD in Rebirth. And in this story we are also introduced to 2 new heroes Gotham and Gotham Girl and at 1st Batman does not know what to do if these heroes are good or bad or to trust them. Do I trust these new heroes in Gotham? That is the main question through out this whole story and by the end you feel sorry for Gotham Girl and her loss because this 1st volume of Batman in DC Rebirth is not only dark but it has lots of adventure and mystery as well. With Tom King’s excellent writing and David Finch’s amazing artwork each issue is packed full of action and emotion plus the ending is sad too. Extra that are included in Batman Volume One: I Am Gotham are some variant covers , and concepts of what the characters look like. Overall I give Batman Volume One: I Am Gotham a 9.5/10 a great 1st volume of Batman for DC Rebirth and it is highly recommended reading if your a fan of The Dark Knight and of Batman in general.
