Comics Review : Green Arrow By Jeff Lemire & Andrea Sorrentino : Deluxe Hardcover Edition : DC New 52 : DC Comics : (2011-2015 stories) (2016)

Hello Archers and DC Comics Fans , Today I’m going to be reviewing Green Arrow By Jeff Lemire & Andrea Sorrentino : Deluxe Hardcover Edition from DC’s New 52. 1st a description of this collection : The entire GREEN ARROW run written by Jeff Lemire is collected in one hardcover, with stories from issues #17-34, SECRET ORIGINS #4 and FUTURES END #1! As Green Arrow discovers that his stranding on a desert island was more than just an accident, there seem to be more sinister forces at work behind all these sudden revelations. The Queen family is embroiled in a war generations old. A war of clans. A war of outsiders. Now on to my review of this collection Green Arrow is written by Jeff Lemire , Andrea Sorrentino , with artwork by Andrea Sorrentino , colors by Marcelo Maiolo with Andrea Sorrentino , HiFi and Matt Hollingsworth and additional artwork by Denys Cowan & Bill Sienkiewicz. This run of Green Arrow collects issues #17-#34 and Secret Origins #4 , and Futures End #1 from DC’s New 52. Now in the 1st 16 issues of Green Arrow from The New 52 it was not all that great to be honest and it needed some new direction. In comes Jeff Lemire and what he and the other writers and artist did was it got back to the grounded level aspect of Green Arrow and it is that same grounded level that is in the 1st 2 Seasons and in the current 5th Season of The CW Arrow TV Series. It’s Oliver trying to escape the Island and becoming Green Arrow and fighting bad guys like Count Vertigo and the like. The story and artwork is amazing and I wish hopefully at some point the current Green Arrow book in DC Rebirth will get back to that grounded aspect of Green Arrow which thank goodness they are a bit. Extras wise Green Arrow By Jeff Lemire & Andrea Sorrentino : Deluxe Hardcover Edition has a lot of concept drawings and some variant covers but that’s it. Overall I give Green Arrow By Jeff Lemire & Andrea Sorrentino : Deluxe Hardcover Edition a 9/10 a great collection of Green Arrow stories and if your a Green Arrow and Arrow TV Series fan this is a great introduction to the character.
