Up Up and Away Super Friends and DC Comics Fans , Here is my review of The Adventures of Supergirl Trade Paperback based on The CW TV Series. 1st a description of the story : THE HIT TV SHOW SOARS INTO THE WORLD OF COMICS!

Kara Zor-El escaped the destruction of her home planet Krypton, but on the way to Earth, her ship took a years-long detour. Taken in by the loving Danvers family upon her arrival, she’s been taught to keep her incredible powers a secret.

But with her cousin Superman winning hearts and saving lives all over the world, Kara can’t keep the secret forever—not when her powers are the only thing that can save the people and the city she loves.

Now she’s taken to the skies above National City as Earth’s newest superhero, but sinister forces, both human and alien, want to ground her for good. Who will take a stand to save her family, friends and her adopted planet from the forces of evil? This looks like a job for…Supergirl!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         Now on to my review of The Trade Paperback , The Adventures of Supergirl is written by Sterling Gates with artwork by , Bengal , Emanuela Lupacchino ,  Emma Vieceli and Cat Staggs who also did the cover artwork for the trade paperback and the print issues as well as from other artists. This comic series looks and feels like The CW Supergirl TV Series and a lot of credit goes to Sterling Gates. Sterling is no stranger to writing Supergirl stories he wrote Supergirl back in the Pre New 52 era during the New Krypton Story Arc and each time Sterling has written Supergirl it has been a good storyline and arc. The Adventures of Supergirl is no exception this comic series looks and feels like The TV Show and with the artwork you can tell yes that is Melissa Benoist as Supergirl / Kara Danvers that is  Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers and that is David Harewood as Hank Henshaw / Martian Manhunter J’onn J’onzz. This comic is s good and the story is amazing. In the story you can tell Kara is so happy to be Supergirl and likes saving people and also just like the TV Show you feel the struggles she is going through but as always Alex is their for her sister to comfort her. The main villain of this story Facet is interesting she use to be on Krypton as a security officer but then betrayed the people of Krypton and now the only way she wants to get what she wants is to go after Supergirl / Kara’s family. Then a big battle happens but Supergirl and The DEO are able to stop Facet. The story ends with a wonderful speech from Supergirl and it captures what this comic series is and what the TV Show is about and this one quote from the end of this story reads : Hope and Compassion For All and that is what Supergirl is and always will be. Overall I give The Adventures of Supergirl and The Trade Paperback a 9.5/10 a great story with great artwork and I hope their will be a volume 2 so Sterling Gates can continue this story. Up Up and Away!!!
