Comics Review : DC Comics : Supergirl Volume Six : Who is Super Woman? (2009)

Up Up and Away! DC Comics Fans , Here is my review of Supergirl Volume Six : Who is Super Woman? from 2009. First a description of the story : After encountering the mysterious Superwoman during the “New Krypton” storyline, Supergirl is left with two burning questions: who is Superwoman, and what gives her the right to wear the symbol of the House of El? The answers lead Supergirl into the darkest depths of New Krypton and drastically alter the Superman family forever! Now on to my review of this story , Supergirl Volume Six : Who is Super Woman? is written by Sterling Gates with a introduction by the original Supergirl from the 1984 movie Helen Slater with artwork by Jamal Igle. Now this story is where the 2005-2011 run on The Pre New 52 Supergirl took off for me and a lot of readers. The Supergirl Comics written around early 2009 where lacking a bit and they needed a new writer and in comes Sterling Gates his writing of Supergirl / Kara Zor-El changed the comics forever and gave The Girl of Steel the stories she needed with rich heart and emotion and great action and adventure and this story proves that. And by the end of the story you feel for Kara and also you wonder Who is this Superwoman and what does she want with Kara? Sterling Gates would go on to write Supergirl through out it’s run until the end in 2011 and then returned to write Supergirl fot The Adventures of Supergirl Comics Series which is based on The CBS now The CW TV Series but learning from his writing of Supergirl / Kara back from his run on the comic back then. Overall I give Supergirl Volume Six : Who is Super Woman? a 9/10 a great Supergirl story and lots of heart in it.
