Comics Review : DC Comics : Crisis on Infinite Earths (1985)

Hello DC Comics Fans , Here is my review of one of the 1st big DC Comics stories and events Crisis on Infinite Earths 1st a description of the comic and event : A mysterious being known as the Anti-Monitor has begun a crusade across time to bring about the end of all existence. As alternate Earths are systematically destroyed, the Monitor quicklyassembles a team of super-heroes from across time and space to battle his counterpart and stop the destruction. DC’s greatest heroes, including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and Aquaman, assemble to stop the menace, but as they watch both the Flash and Supergirl die in battle, they begin to wonder if even all of the heroes in the world can stop this destructive force. Now on to my review of this now classic DC Comics Storyline , Now you have to look at the landscape of comic books in 1985 DC Comics was struggling big time and Crisis on Infinite Earths was their way of getting readers back read their comics. Crisis on Infinite Earths the trade paperback version that I have anyway with it being recolored for this new edition is written by Marv Wolfman with artwork by George Perez. This story is amazing with so many battles in the multiverse of DC Comics taking place and different Earths like Earth 1 , Earth 2 , Earth 3 etc. with lots of action and emotion. Now the big thing that went down in this issue and what it is remembered for is the deaths of Supergirl Kara Zor-El and The Flash Barry Allen. When Supergirl died in this story when 1st did read I was like no no no Supergirl can’t die this is not happening why why? No please no. Then I said maybe someday in the comics she will come back and she did in 2004 but a different version of Kara. The Flash’s Barry Allen’s death was emotioal too but me being a fan of Supergirl that more hit home for me but his death was as emotioal I was like no Barry don’t run. Now why was the reason both Barry and Kara had to go in the comics well DC’s reason is they wanted the only one who escaped Krypton be Superman and The Flash be Jay Garrick. But a lot of fans loved and liked Supergirl Kara Zor-El and The Flash Barry Allen and years later they are still loved and adored by millions of fans with their own TV Shows on The CW. Overall I will give Crisis on Infinite Earths a 9/10 a great and emotional story in The DC Universe and a true start to we known today as The DC Comics Multiverse
