TV Review : Supergirl : Season 1 : Episode 17 : Manhunter

How does a fallen hero rise again? Up Up and Away!!! DC Comics Fans , Here is my review of Supergirl Season 1 Episode 17 Manhunter 1st as always a description of the episode :  J’onn J’onzz discloses the details of meeting with Kara and Alex’s father, Dr. Jeremiah Danvers, and the takeover of Hank Henshaw’s identity; Kara must decide whether to trust someone with her secret identity; Siobhan devises a plot against Kara. Now on to my thoughts on the episode Warning Full Spoilers To Follow , Wow this episode was good , intense , and emotional. Supergirl , Alex and Hank sure had their hands in this episode and the Flashbacks really interesting. This episode Kara / Supergirl was trying to earn the trust back of National City and also Hank and Alex was being interrogated by The U.S. Government including by Lucy Lane. This episode more than any other in Season 1 had a lot of Flashbacks and they work so well the ones with   Hank Henshaw and Jeremiah Danvers also ones with Alex and Kara. Both Hank and Alex are arrested and taken and with the help of Lucy Lane and Kara they get them back. But not before Kara tells Lucy she is Supergirl that was a brave thing to do on Kara’s part but it was the right thing to do. The episode ends with a chase scene and both Alex and Hank /  J’onn are free’ed but at the end their is a goodbye scene with Kara and Alex as she and Hank go on their mission while Kara stays back a very emotional and very powerful scene in the episode. Siobhan Smythe is beginning her transformation into The Sliver Banshee and it showed in the episode and Cat Grant was not buying that it was Kara’s writing of the e-mail when it was Siobhan to begin with. This episode set up next weeks Crossover with The Flash so well but that’s for next week. I give Supergirl Season 1 Episode 17 Manhunter a 9/10  a great episode and can’t wait for next weeks episode The Crossover Episode with Supergirl & The Flash titled World’s Finest
