Classic Comics Review : Superman: Secret Origin (2010) : DC Comics

Hello Comic Book Fans , In the 1st of my Classic Comics reviews I’m going to be reviewing one of the best DC Comic Story Arcs and Series Superman: Secret Origin from 2010 1st a description of the series :  The superstar team of writer Geoff Johns and artist Gary Frank redefine the origin of Superman for the 21st century. Hot on the heels of their acclaimed graphic novel SUPERMAN: LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES, superstars Geoff Johns and Gary Frank reunite to present an explosive story that spells out the definitive origin of Superman for the 21st century! Chronicling Clark Kent’s journey from the cornfields of Smallville to the skyscrapers of Metropolis, you’ll witness a whole new look at the beginnings of Lex Luthor, the Legion of Super-Heroes, Lois Lane, Metallo, Jimmy Olsen, the Parasite and more of your favorite characters from the Superman family! It’s a look at the mythic past of the Man of Steel with an eye toward the future! This volume and Trade Paperback both in Hardcover and Paperback collects Superman: Secret Origin #1-6. This is one of my favorite Superman Story’s and Story Arcs DC Comics has ever done the writing by Geoff Johns and the artwork by Gary Frank alone sells this Trade Paperback as well as the single issues for me. The Artwork of Superman is sort of based off of Christopher Reeve’s take on Superman from Superman The Movie and Superman 2 but with a more modern take on it.  All the core Superman Characters are in this Story Arc Superman / Clark Kent , The Kent’s , Lois Lane , Perry White , Jimmy Olson and the bad guys such as Lex Luthor  and even Metallo. It traces Superman’s Origins from being born on Krypton to grown up in Kansas in Smallville to Clark Kent working at The Daily Planet and so on. Overall I give Superman: Secret Origin a 9 / 10 a great Superman Story Arc and Comic Series and one of the best DC Comics has ever done. Up Up and Away!!!
